Any student in good standing (minimum grade point average of 3.0) who will be attending an accredited four-year college or university as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior and who is either:

• the child, grandchild, or spouse of an employee or an employee of a TCA member; or,
• the child, grandchild, or spouse of an independent contractor or an independent contractor affiliated with a TCA member.

The recipient of a TCA scholarship must show financial need, show scholastic achievement, maintain full-time student status, and be an individual of high character and integrity. Scholarships will be awarded without regard to race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, equal pay, disability or genetic information.

The online application opened March 15, 2023 and will close on May 5, 2023

The online application is hosted and administered by the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges’ Scholarship Management Resources (SMR). All inquiries — such as how to apply, where to send course schedule and transcripts, etc. — will be answered by a SMR representative. If a student is deemed a recipient, a scholarship from the TCA Scholarship Fund^SM will be awarded on a per-semester basis. It will be renewed for the second semester upon the showing of good academic standing by the recipient. The total amount of the scholarship typically ranges from $2,725 to $6,250.

A scholarship check will be mailed directly to the college or university for distribution. Scholarship monies are to be used for tuition purposes only.

NOTE:  To receive monies, recipients must provide transcripts and Fall course schedule when applying. To receive second disbursement, TCA must receive Fall transcripts and Spring course schedule after January 1.

The scholarship will be voided on the basis of expulsion or dismissal from school or discontinuance of the education process for more than 12 consecutive months. The scholarship may also be voided if the student does not maintain full-time student status or his/her GPA drops by more than 1 point. The trustees reserve the right to withdraw the scholarship at their discretion.
