Canadian Government Issues Clarification on Border Vaccine Mandate
ALEXANDRIA, Virginia:
Earlier today, numerous press outlets reported that the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) exempted Canadian drivers from its cross-border vaccine mandate. However, further information has been provided from the Canadian government to clarify that vaccination will be required for all drivers entering the country, including Canadian citizens. For unvaccinated Canadian drivers, they will be permitted to re-enter Canada but subject to quarantine requirements. Additional details and guidance have been shared by our industry partners at the Canadian Trucking Alliance.
We strive to provide our membership with the most up-to-date information, and will continue to monitor and keep you apprised of developments regarding the cross-border vaccine mandates. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Thank you,
David Heller
