Elevate TCA – Leadership Program

Designed to connect and develop the next generation of leaders in the truckload industry. This program provides young professionals with valuable opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow through mentorship, skill-building sessions, and industry networking. Participants will engage in a mix of in-person meetings at TCA events and virtual sessions throughout the year, gaining practical insights and professional connections that drive career success.

2026 Timeline

 

Applications Open – November 5, 2025

Applications Close – December 10, 2025

Elevate Class Notified of Acceptance – January 5, 2026

Presentation of 2026 Class – February 28, 2026 at TCA Annual Convention

Eligibility

 

  • Applicants must be 41 or under on 3/1/2026
  • Employee of TCA member company
  • Applicants must have supervisor approval to participate
  • Must be able to attend in-person and virtual events
  • $250 fee for those selected to program

Program Format

 

  • The 12-month program will include a mix of in-person and virtual events. Participants will attend key TCA gatherings, including the 2026 & 2027 Annual Convention, Safety & Security Meeting, and Call on Washington.  (Please refer to the application for specific in-person dates and registration costs.)
  • Virtual sessions will be held monthly starting in March 2026, alternating between professional development topics and peer discussions.
  • Additional professional development work will be required, including participation in TCA Certification Programs, the TCA Executive Leadership Series, and a TCA Elevate Class Project.

Application Details

 

  • Only one applicant per company will be selected; however, multiple nominations are welcome.
  • The program will include a mix of for-hire carriers and associate members, with no more than 30% of participants representing associate members.
  • The selection process will be based on a scoring system that considers industry experience, well-roundedness, interest in professional development, ability to attend program events, and the strength of the nomination recommendation.
