TCA Education Awards

The TCA Education Awards – honor the commitment of people and companies to personal growth via education. Recognition is given in three distinct categories, each with specific eligibility requirements.

Criteria and eligibility

Individual On-demand Award

Presented during the 2027 TCA Annual Convention, Feb 27 – March 2, Las Vegas, NV

An inidivual is automatically considered for this award if they are employed by a for-hire carrier member of the Truckload Carriers Association.

Data-Specific Criteria:
This data will be collected from the TCA + NATMI Learning Center.

  • has completed the most TCA on-demand education in one calendar year.

Individual On-demand Award: January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026

  • Nominations not required – data will be automatically pulled from TCA + NATMI Learning Center
  • Individual will be notified by January 15, 2027
  • Award presented at Truckload 2027 in Las Vegas, NV

Individual Overall Award

Presented during the 2027 TCA Annual Convention, Feb 27 – March 2, Las Vegas, NV

An individual will only be considered for this award if they are employed by a for-hire carrier member of the Truckload Carriers Association.

Data-Specific Criteria:
This data will be collected from the TCA + NATMI Learning Center.

  • has completed the most TCA education in one calendar year
    • On-demand courses within the TCA learning center
    • TCA live, virtual webinars
    • In-person meetings (Annual Convention, Safety & Security Meeting, Refrigerated Meeting, or Bridging Border Barriers)
    • NATMI Certification(s) (initial certification within the year)

Nominee Specific Criteria
This information must be reported by the individual submitting for the award or by the individual nominating someone else for the award.

  • Committment to continous learning:
    • The effort, time, and personal resources invested by the individual.
    • The breadth and complexity of the education pursued (e.g., multiple industry certifications, an apprenticeship, or specialized technical training)
  • Application of knowledge
    • Development and implementation of a new process, tool, or solution based on education material.
    • Creation of unique solutions to educational challenges within the work environment.
    • Describe how any acquired education was immediately and successfully applied to a project, challenge, or work task. (e.g. Retention increased/turnover decreased/time saved/ratings improved)
  • Leadership and Advocacy
    • Championing education within your company by implementing internal training initiatives to stay current with industry trends and regulations.
    • Commitment to sharing new knowledge and skills with colleagues, peers, or the industry.
    • Contributing to the development of industry standards.

Individual Overall Award: January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026

  • Award presented at Truckload 2027 in Las Vegas, Nevada

Company Award

Presented during the 2027 TCA Annual Convention, Feb 27 – March 2, Las Vegas, NV

A company will only be considered for the award if they are a current for-hire carrier member of the Truckload Carriers Association.

Data-Specific Criteria
This data will be collected from the TCA+NATMI Learning Center and the TCA Membership Database (unless otherwise noted).

  • Number of employees (self-reported)
  • % of employee engagement with TCA education in one calendar year
    • Completed on-demand courses within the TCA learning center
    • Attended TCA live, virtual webinars
    • Attended In-person meetings (Annual Convention, Safety & Security Meeting, Refrigerated Meeting, or Bridging Border Barriers)
    • NATMI Certification(s) (initial certification within the year)

Nominee Specific Criteria
This information must be reported by the individual submitting on behalf of the company

  • Investment & Resources
    • List of diverse education resources provided (e.g., internal LMS, external tuition reimbursement, apprenticeships, vendor-specific certifications, mentorship programs, etc.).
    • Calculation of the annual average cost per learner dedicated to education.
  • Internal Education Program Design
    • A balance between mandatory compliance training and voluntary career development program that foster growth.
    • Evidence of a formal process for collecting and acting on learner feedback regarding the quality, relevance, and format of the educational programs.
  • Education Impact
    • Correlation data showing that education led to measurable business improvements.
    • Data showing that learners who participate in formal development programs have lower turnover rates and higher engagement scores than non-participants.

Company Award: January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026

  • Companies will be notified by January 15, 2027
  • Award presented at Truckload 2027 in Las Vegas, Nevada

Throughout 2025, Tory completed an incredible 130 hours of on-demand education, demonstrating an elite level of dedication to her role as HR & Compliance Manager. Most notably, Tory earned the prestigious “trifecta” of TCA certificates, completing the TCA Recruitment Certificate; TCA Retention Certificate; and the TCA Human Resources Certificate.

By mastering these three critical disciplines, Tory has solidified her position as a leader in transportation human resources and a vital asset to the Parish Transport team.
