2019 The Wall That Heals Tour Schedule Announced

Alexandria, Virginia:

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) is proud to announce its continuing partnership with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) for the fourth year.

In 2015, TCA carrier members began hauling “The Wall That Heals,” an exhibit which includes a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a mobile Education Center, to communities nationwide. The exhibit honors more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.

“Partnering with TCA enables us to continue our mission to honor and preserve the legacy of The Wall That Heals and educate all generations about the impact of the Vietnam War,” says VVMF Chief Executive Officer Jim Knotts.

For 2019, VVMF has selected Hoekstra Transportation, LLC and the community of Bourbonnais, Illinois, as a sponsored stop. The mobile education unit and The Wall That Heals will be available to view 24 hours a day, June 27-30 at Perry Farm.

“We consider it a privilege to be chosen by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund as the local sponsor to present The Wall That Heals,” shares Hoekstra Transportation, LLC President Steve Hoekstra. “It is an honor to bring this to Kankakee County and the surrounding area. We look forward to working with the community to present this significant memorial and use this event as a time for healing, honoring and educating.”

TCA encourages its member companies to support the effort; those interested in transporting The Wall That Heals can visit www.truckload.org/VVMF for more information.
