Truckload Carriers Association Launching Own Magazine, Truckload Authority
Kissimmee, Florida:
The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) announced plans to launch its own publication, Truckload Authority. The TCA Communications & Image Policy Committee shared the news with the association’s board of directors, which was meeting on March 4 at TCA’s Annual Convention in Kissimmee, Florida.
“We are pleased and excited to expand our efforts to serve our members by providing them exclusive, pertinent business content while keeping them apprised of our work on their behalf. We are always looking for ways to make a difference both for our members and the industry as a whole. Truckload Authority will be another great way to help us achieve our mission,” TCA President Chris Burruss said.
TCA will publish its first issue of Truckload Authority in June, with the second issue of the full-color glossy magazine planned for December. In 2013, readers can expect to receive issues in March, June, September, and December.
Outgoing TCA Chairman Gary Salisbury, president and CEO of Fikes Truck Line of Hope, Arkansas, has used his term to emphasize the importance of a professional, positive image for the trucking industry. Salisbury was instrumental in making Truckload Authority a reality.
“I am proud this accomplishment is coming to fruition during my chairmanship. The image of our industry is very important to me and I envision Truckload Authority showing the best of trucking. Truckload Authority will be a publication our members can take pride in,” Salisbury said.
TCA is working with The Trucker to produce and publish Truckload Authority.
“We could not be more pleased to have The Trucker helping us take our message to the next level,” Salisbury said. “We admire the reputation for trustworthiness and professionalism it has built with thousands of industry executives and drivers.”
Micah Jackson, publisher of The Trucker, added, “Truckload Authority will be a valuable resource to the thousands of industry professionals who depend on TCA for knowledge, insight, and assistance. We are excited to help TCA further its outstanding work in the trucking community.”
