Las Vegas, NV:

Frank Bove of United Cartage Co., Inc., Gas City, Indiana was presented the prestigious Past Chairmen’s Award during today’s general session at the Truckload Carriers Association’s (TCA’s) Annual Convention at the Bellagio Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Past Chairmen’s Award is given to recognized industry leaders who make a significant contribution to the business community, the industry, and the Truckload Carriers Association. The Past Chairmen’s Award is the highest award of recognition given by the Association.

United Cartage Co., Inc. hauls freight including automotive, retail, electronics and food stuffs. Mr. Bove’s company has been a member of TCA for 45 years and Bove is one of only four people who have served as a TCA officer twice. The company had modest beginnings; it was started by Bove’s father in one half of a barn and grew steadily over the years. When his father’s health declined Bove and his brother assumed responsibility for United Cartage Co., Inc. Mr. Bove continued to grow the company until selling it this past year; he now looks forward to retirement.

Clifton Parker, past chairman of TCA and presenter of the Past Chairmen’s Award, said of Bove: “To say that he is one of our ambassadors is truly an understatement. I can’t think of anyone more deserving.”
