Tour to highlight stories of professional truck drivers honored for good deeds
Alexandria, Virginia:
A leader in commercial trucking industry financing, Wholesale Truck and Finance has signed on to sponsor the 2014 Highway Angel Truck Stop Tour with Lindsay Lawler for the second consecutive year.
Wholesale Truck and Finance (WTF) operates as the commercial trucking industry’s premiere financing company serving owner operators and small fleets. WTF prides itself on long-term commitments to its clients. Treating clients as partners, the Auburn Hills, Michigan-based company understands the needs of the trucking industry and works to enable and ensure long-term business growth and stability, helping owner-operators and small fleets make important business decisions, plan for the future, and structure truck equipment financing.
“We are once again extremely excited to support the Highway Angel Truck Stop Tour and Lindsay Lawler,” said David Strand, president of WTF. “We will gladly support any opportunity to raise awareness of the everyday heroes that make up the OTR truck driver industry. The stories that come out of the Highway Angel program are truly miraculous and any opportunity we have to give back to these heroes, we will graciously take. Lindsay is a true professional who is passionate about this cause, which makes it very easy to lend our support.”
The tour, designed to promote a better trucking industry image by increasing the public’s exposure to the Truckload Carrier’s Association’s Highway Angel program, kicked off on May 21st at TravelCenters of America’s Knoxville West location. Each stop features an hour-long acoustic performance by Highway Angel spokesperson and country recording artist Lindsay Lawler from atop her flatbed truck stage (provided by Fikes Truck Line), as well as a live broadcast component.
